Some people are still in the DARK

I had someone home with me as I prepared to watch Oprah's remembrance of Michael. The person that was here made a comment in which I feel was very ignorant, though she probably thought that it was poignant. As Michael and Oprah entered into Neverland, the comment was made that Michael granted Oprah the interview because he was "Pro Black". She said alot of people don't see that, but he was. Now anyone who knows Michael knows that, yes, while Michael is PROUD to be a black man. He is far from Pro Black. In my opinion, and I am a black female, feel as though to classify yourself as pro black,pro white or really pro anything is to say in a clever way that, this is better than that. Proud and Pro are not to be confused. They are not the same. Afterall, consider if a white person said that they were pro white. The first thing people would think of is white supremecy. However, when a black person says another black person is pro black. Then it is okay. NOT! Michael is PRO-MANKIND. No matter what ethnicity, race, cultural background, social class or anything else. Michael is PRO-LOVE. He granted her the interview because he felt comfortable to do that and maybe he felt as though she would grant him an objective interview. As the title states, some people still have not a clue. SOME PEOPLE ARE STILL IN THE DARK...
